Cresson, TX | Full-Time | In-Office | Reports to Director of Client Experience

Barnes Lawn Doctor is looking for a hands-on Digital Marketing Specialist who can turn marketing direction into consistent, timely, and measurable local execution. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, manages priorities and deadlines, pays close attention to detail, and uses performance insights to continuously strengthen local marketing execution.

What You'll Do
  • Create, schedule, publish, and maintain engaging local content across social media and Google Business Profiles.
  • Execute approved local campaigns, promotions, email/text initiatives, and seasonal marketing.
  • Execute our “Search Everywhere” local visibility strategy across social media, Google Business Profiles, reviews, local search,           community platforms, FAQs, educational content, and emerging AI-driven discovery channels.
  • Support review generation and reputation management, including monitoring and routine responses.
  • Maintain accurate digital listings, links, calls-to-action, location information, marketing calendars, campaign tracking, and lead-source information.
  • Monitor marketing activity and identify trends, opportunities, problems, and areas requiring follow-up.
  • Coordinate with corporate marketing resources and outside vendors, following assigned work through to completion.
  • Support photography, video, employee-generated content, community marketing, referrals, and other locally relevant initiatives.
  • Proactively identify and capture local marketing opportunities in the field, working with technicians, managers, sales and leadership to turn real customer experiences, lawn conditions, team expertise, reviews and community activity into photos, short-form video, Reels, FAQs, educational content and customer stories.
  • Create and edit short-form video and Reels, including strong hooks, on-screen text, captions and calls to action, using authentic field content and employee expertise.
  • Document recurring marketing processes and provide clear weekly reporting on completed work, results, blockers, and upcoming priorities.
Stay Connected to the Client Experience
Great local marketing doesn’t happen in isolation. This role proactively collaborates with our CSR, Sales, Accounts Receivable, and Operations teams to understand what clients are experiencing in real time.
You’ll listen for client questions and concerns, seasonal lawn and pest conditions, services clients are asking about, sales objections, retention and billing trends, field observations, reviews, and emerging needs—and turn that intelligence into timely, relevant local messaging, education, campaigns, and content.

What Success Looks Like
You consistently execute assigned work accurately and on time, maintain current and professional digital channels, communicate blockers early, and follow projects through to completion. You’ll also help connect local marketing activity to meaningful business outcomes, including qualified leads, client acquisition, revenue, reputation, referrals, and client value.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience with digital marketing, social media, content creation, or a related role.
  • Working knowledge of Meta/Facebook, Google Business Profile, email/SMS marketing, online reviews, Local Community & Reputation platforms, and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong written communication, proofreading, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working with marketing data, content analytics, reports, CRM information, and campaign performance.
  • Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT to support research, content development, repurposing, analysis and marketing workflows and curious about how AI is changing local search and consumer discovery.
  • Ability to manage recurring responsibilities while adapting to changing priorities and collaborating across departments.
  • Canva, Capcut, Microsoft 365, CRM, marketing analytics, or process-documentation experience is a plus. Local service, multi-location, franchise, or agency experience is also a plus.
