Position Overview
We are looking for a Tree Pruning & PHC Technician to join our team. Most of the time you will be working on a tree and shrub pruning crew. Other times, you will be performing a wide range of plant health care (PHC) services in and around the Fort Collins area. The ideal candidate is dependable, honest, and hard-working. This is a great opportunity for someone who works well both independently and on a team, enjoys working outside, and takes pride in their work.
What to Expect
- Year-Round Employment: Full-time hours with possible overtime Monday through Friday. Part-time hours could occasionally occur due to weather.
- Work Location: Fort Collins, CO and surrounding areas
- Benefits: Paid holidays, paid time off, extended illness bank, health insurance options, a Simple IRA with company match, bonuses, commissions, and uniforms. Some benefits are only available after 60 days of employment.
- Training: Thorough hands-on training and support from our experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on our tree and shrub pruning crew.
- Haul brush, rake debris, operate the brush chipper.
- Tree & shrub pruning.
- Potential to work aloft with rope-and-harness.
- Fertilize trees and shrubs on residential and commercial properties.
- Perform pesticide applications to trees and shrubs on residential and commercial properties.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customers’ needs and concerns.
- Maintain and Operate equipment safely.
- Manage your own PHC route.
- Perform other services as needed which can include lawn care applications, aerations, and pest control services.
A valid US driver's license is required. Any related experience is helpful but not required.
