Lawn Doctor of Baldwin and Mobile Counties is growing, and we are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in doing quality work and providing excellent customer service.

As a Lawn Care Technician, you will spend your workday outdoors helping customers achieve healthier, greener lawns. You will operate a company vehicle, apply professional lawn care treatments, identify potential lawn concerns, maintain equipment, and communicate with customers about the services being performed.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working independently, staying active, and seeing the results of their work. Lawn care experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Why Join Lawn Doctor?

At Lawn Doctor, we believe that when our employees grow, our company grows. We provide training, opportunities for advancement, and a supportive team environment where dependable employees are recognized and rewarded.

You will have the opportunity to build valuable technical skills, develop customer-service experience, and grow into additional responsibilities as our company continues to expand.

Lawn Care Technician Responsibilities

  • Apply fertilizers, weed control, insect control, and other lawn care products according to treatment schedules, safety procedures, and product-label instructions.

  • Inspect lawns and identify weeds, insects, disease symptoms, cultural concerns, and other potential problems.

  • Provide customers with clear, professional information about treatments and lawn care recommendations.

  • Safely operate a company vehicle and travel to customer properties throughout the assigned service area.

  • Maintain accurate customer records, treatment documentation, and Department of Agriculture-required application records.

  • Manage daily product, material, and equipment inventory.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle.

  • Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance on lawn care equipment.

  • Inform customers and prospective customers about additional services that may benefit their lawns.

  • Meet daily quality, safety, and production expectations.

  • Assist with shop organization, inventory, and other operational responsibilities when needed.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • A strong work ethic and dependable attendance.

  • A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • A professional appearance and positive attitude.

  • The ability to work independently with limited supervision.

  • The ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.

  • A willingness to work outdoors in heat, humidity, rain, and changing weather conditions.

  • The ability to safely operate lawn care machinery and equipment.

  • The ability to lift and carry more than 50 pounds.

  • The ability to walk, stand, bend, pull hoses, and remain physically active throughout the workday.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • The ability to pass a drug screening and background check.

Previous lawn care, landscaping, pest control, agriculture, route service, equipment operation, or customer-service experience is a plus but is not required.

Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly pay.

  • Performance bonuses and incentive opportunities.
